Viewers of the 1st ODI between England and India in Hyderabad were left in the dark as live coverage started 14 minutes late. The viewers had missed the first 3 overs of India’s batting.
Neo Cricket, who are the right holders and host broadcasters, said that there were ‘technical issues’ due to which they could not get live images from the ground. The inability of Neo Cricket to broadcast the start live also affected viewers in England.
Reports suggest that the delay was due to Neo Cricket failing to deposit Rs 4 crores, which was the bank guarantee, on time to the I&B ministry.
